| Jettie was formed in late 1999 by Stefan Juhlin, Jesper Bohm, Clas Bohman and Johan Friman. At the time, all the members were involved in other projects (Jason and the argonauts, Carnated, and Auster) and initially Jettie was considered more of a ‘side project’. They did a few shows and received a great response so they decided to focus more on the band and the result was a 4 song demo recorded in early 2000. The demo was very well received and the band signed a deal to record an EP for the newly founded indie label Kasual Recordings.

We've decided to leave JETTIE behind us and continue our lives on new paths. It's been almost 10 years since we started JETTIE and it has affected our lives in many ways. We never wanted the band to be a project without passion and pride and we feel that the time has now come to end the JETTIE chapter. The band has taking shape thru the years along with some really wonderful people we love and respect so much! Many of you who is reading this has been a part of JETTIE and we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, it would never have been the same without you.
Thru the years we have had a so much support from all over the world! The ones who released our records, worked with us in the studios, booking our tours/shows, been at the venues singing along, letting us into your homes with open arms and fans who has become close friends from around the globe during our tours. Also all the kind words and support in e-mails and messages thru Myspace, Purevolume, AIM and here on the official site! All these things have had a huge impact on us and it has been a great input when it comes down to the creativity in JETTIE as well as we have been affected as humans. YOU will always be rememberd!
We will try to launch some kind of site whit stuff from our history in the near future and we will try to keep in touch with you thru Myspace.
Thank you and goodbye!

KITES FOR CHARITY - OUT NOW IN iTUNES!!! (world-wide)
"Moody, orchestral rock that sounds so big it's hard to believe Jettie's music can actually fit on a tiny silverdisc. 4/5" -
"There are times when music transports the listener to a quiet place where only the most beautiful sounds can be heard. This combination of flawless composition and haunting vocals puts the audience in a complete trance where they are absolutely fixed on the music and have no desire to escape." - Klicktrack.com
"Definitely a must-have for lovers of softer indie rock." - Decapolis
On the heels of 2005's "Heading for Mornings," Swedish sensation JETTIE is back w/ their new album "Kites For Charity" due out in Spring 2008 on Eyeball Records (available NOW through iTunes!)
A band whose overseas critical acclaim has garnered press attention and fans the world over, JETTIE's sound is reminiscent to that of early REM or Scandinavian contemporaries Johan and Daryll Ann. A dark and stark, truly powerful and uplifting listen, JETTIE's brand of tortured yet anthemic pop brilliance is undeniably some of the best radio-friendly rock being made today.
Soaring like the most graceful of birds over grey clouds, JETTIE is an inspirational trip into the heavens. Having toured around Europe including UK. Sweden w/ Hydra Head / Bad Taste artist LOGH and the US w/ New Atlantic and Waking Ashland on their last album, JETTIE is set to make their mark on the American public w/ "Kites For Charity" - an album that is sure to turn heads and once more focus even more attention on the amazing scene coming from Sweden's icy dark peninsula.
